Future pro athletes that are my friends:
1. Diego De la Parra. Sport: Basketball. Position: Forward.
Diego De la Parra will become a pro basketball player. He will play basketball for the Canada national team and he will be drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the 2018 NBA draft. He will be one of the Pacers best players, and he will win 2 NBA championships for the Pacers before being signed to the Miami Heat. He will be injured for the season in which Miami won. And then when he returned from injury, he wasn’t as good as he used to be anymore so he was released by Miami. No NBA team wanted to sign Diego, so he just decided to retire from pro basketball. By then he will be 37 years old. He will be selected to the NBA All-Star team 7 times, and he will win the Finals MVP once. He will play alongside Kobe Lopez and Pablo Villa, Lowell Malaran and Nathan Manuel for the Canada basketball team, which will win a bronze medal in the 2024 Summer Olympics and the 2032 Summer Olympics.
2. Anthony Cilia. Sport: Soccer Position: Defender
Anthony Cilia will become a pro soccer player. He will play for Malta’s soccer team (he is from there) and he will be their captain. He will bring them to their first FIFA World Cup,the 2022 Qatar World Cup, even though Malta won’t make it out of the group stage. He will also play in the 2030 World Cup, but once again Malta will pack for home after not making it out of the group stage. Anthony will make his career debut in Barnsley FC in England, before being signed by Rayo Valleccano of the Spanish League. His skills will eventually be noticed by FC Barcelona, who will sign him onto their team. He will win the Champions League 2 times with Barça alongside his childhood friends Santi Pattarroyo, Mazen El-Zameil and Luis Diaz. He will move to Salt Lake FC in the MLS when he gets old.
3. Pablo Villa. Sport: Basketball Position: Guard
Pablo Villa will become a pro basketball player. He will be drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2018 NBA draft. He will become the captain of the Thunder, leading them to 4 NBA championships before moving to the Heat. He will win 1 more championship with the Heat alongside his childhood friend Kwame Pobee. He will be selected to the NBA All-Star team 10 times, will win 5 NBA MVPs, 4 NBA Finals MVPs, and he will become the Thunders’ second all-time top scorer. He will also be a member of Canada’s national basketball team alongside Diego De la Parra, Nathan Manuel, Lowell Malaran and Kobe Lopez, and he will win 2 Olympic bronze medals.
4. Santi Pattarroyo. Sport: Soccer Position: Striker
Santi Pattarroyo will become a pro soccer player. He will play and captain for Colombia’s soccer team alongside Simon Arbeloda and Nick Suarez (he is from there) and he will lead them to 3 World Cups, the 2022, 2026, and 2030. In the 2022 Qatar World Cup, Colombia will make it out of the group stage before being knocked out of the World Cup by England. In the 2026 Mexico World Cup , Colombia will make it out of the group stage and will make the quarter finals, but they will be knocked out again, this time by Portugal. In the 2030 Greece World Cup, Colombia will advance to the semis, and they will beat Brazil 2-1. In the final, Colombia will bring Italy to penalties after a 2-2 tie, and in penalties they will beat Italy 5-3 to win their first ever World Cup. (And just about time, the World Cup started in 1930, 100 years before Colombia’s first ever win!) Santi will begin his club career in Atletico Medellin, before being signed by Chelsea. Later he will be signed by FC Barcelona for his skills. Alongside his childhood friends Anthony Cilia and Mazen El- Zameil, Santi will win 6 La Liga titles and he will win 2 Champions League titles. He will win 1 FIFA Ballon D’Or for his skills. He will later sign to FC Galatasaray when he turns 36.
5. Lowell Malaran. Sport: Basketball. Position: Forward
Lowell Malaran will become a pro basketball player. He will play basketball for Sheridan College in Ontario, before being drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2018 NBA draft. He will then move to Oklahoma City Thunder with Pablo Villa. He will win 2 championships with OKC, before being injured and having to stop playing for the third OKC championship season. When he recovers from injury, he will return, but he won’t play very well anymore and he will be released by OKC. No NBA team will want to sign Lowell, so he decided to return to his native Phillipines and play pro basketball there. He was signed by Basketball Club Manila of the Phillipino Basketball Association, and he won 3 PBA titles with B.C. Manila before retiring from basketball. Lowell will be selected to the NBA All- Star team 7 times and will win 1 NBA MVP and 1 All-Star Game MVP. Lowell first played for Canada’s basketball team, winning the bronze medal at the 2024 Olympics alongside Diego De la Parra, Pablo Villa, Nathan Manuel and Kobe Lopez. But when he returned to the Phillipines, he played for the Phillipino national team. He played for the Phillipines in the 2038 Olympics, and the Filipinos made it to the semis, but they lost to USA, and they lost in the bronze medal game to Jamaica.
6. Simon Arbeloda. Sport: Soccer Position: Striker
Simon Arbeloda will become a pro soccer player. He will begin his career with Atletico Medellin of the Colombian Soccer League, before being signed by Manchester City FC. Simon will win the Premier League 2 times with Manchester City. He will also win the Champions League once. Later, he will be signed by Real Madrid, and alongside childhood friend Nathan Pereira-Silva, he will win 5 La Liga titles, another Champions Leagues and 1 FIFA Club World Cup . With Colombia’s soccer team, Simon will play in 3 World Cups, winning it in 2030 but losing in the Round of 16 in one World Cup, and getting kicked out again in the quarter finals
7. Luis Diaz. Sport: Soccer Position: Defender
Luis Diaz will become a pro soccer player. He will begin his career with Cruz Azul of the Mexican Soccer League, and he will win the Mexican Cup with Cruz Azul once, beating America in the final. But he will finish runner- up twice. He will be included in the Mexican Team of the League for his skills. He will later be signed by FC Barcelona for his skills. With Barcelona, Luis will become a team starter, and he will win 3 Champions league titles with Anthony Cilia and Santi Pattarroyo . He will also win 2 FIFA Club World Cups. He will move back to Mexico and play with the Guadalajara Chivas when he is 36 years old. With Mexico’s national team, Luis will be the captain, and will lead them to win the World Cup in 2026, even though they will lose in the quarter finals in 2030 and not make it out of the group stage in 2022, and in 2034 they will be sent to the third place match after losing to Uruguay, and in the third place match they will beat Peru to win third place in the World Cup.
8. Kwame Pobee. Sport: Basketball.

Position: Guard
Kwame Pobee will become a pro basketball player. He will be drafted by the Miami Heat coming out of Ohio College (he is from Ohio), and he will spend his entire NBA career with them, winning 4 NBA championships, 3 NBA MVPs, 3 NBA Finals MVPs, and 10 selections to the NBA All- Star team. He will retire after his 4th NBA championship (he will be 40 years old by then) With USA’s national basketball team, Kwame will be the captain, and he will win 2 Gold medals (one at the 2020 Olympics and another at the 2024 Olympics) and 2 Silver medals.
9. Joseph Meleca. Sport: Soccer. Position: Midfielder
Joseph Meleca will become a pro soccer player. He will play his entire career with Juventus FC and he will be the captain. He will win 6 Serie A titles, and he will win 1 Champions League, in 2025. But in the 2025 England FIFA Club World Cup, Juventus will lose in the semi-finals to Santos FC, but they will beat América in the third place match. With his national team, Italy, Meleca will play in 4 World Cups, the 2022 Qatar, the 2026 Mexico, and the 2030 Greece and 2034 Iran. He will never win the World Cup, despite making the final in 2030 before losing to Colombia, and winning third place in the 2022 Cup after beating England 2-0 in the third place match. In 2026 they lost in the quarter finals to finalists Argentina.
